Keep it Real – Dream With Your Eyes Open!

Remember that you live in the real world!

Hey gang – Dan Mangena here with another blog to remind you to keep it real!!

Welcome back to my blog good people. It’s so wonderful to have you here. Thank you for stopping by and reading, what I hope will be, a nice big serving of ‘truth bomb pie’ today. Yum!

In this blog I really want to hammer home the need for us to remember that we live in the real world. I encounter SO many people who forget that very simple fact. Now ok, in fairness to them; it’s surprisingly easy to do so. We spend all of our waking and non-waking time in our heads. It’s easy to get lost in all of the esoteric concepts and language that we have floating around in there.

Does this mean that we should be only ever be realistic with our lives and not aim to achieve things that seem unrealistic in the now?

No – of course not. As I’m always encouraging you though: learn to dream with your eyes open!

There’s a subtle distinction to be made here as well. I’m not saying that you can not achieve the unimaginable. That’s patently untrue. If you want to become a millionaire, spend it all on biscuits and call your self “King or Queen McVities” fine! You absolutely can do that. It may seem ridiculous right now, but the real world would allow for that outcome for you.

*Side note: McVities might be a slightly too anglicised reference for those of you in the States. They make biscuits or ‘cookies’ as you’d call them. That’s all you really need to know.

The key really, in all seriousness, is that whatever you’re dreaming of; if you want to experience it physically (i.e. through your physical senses in the present moment) you need to channel your dream, through your inner world and into the real world. You have to become a conduit, or translator of sorts.

It’s no good having a dream and doing nothing about it. You have to Keep it Real!

The reason I say to keep it real, is that your dream has to take shape in the real world. That is to say: it has to be made up of stuff that actually exists. It may sound daft, but wanting to fly like Superman and be bear-chestedly impervious to gunfire is not something we can do. It defies physics.

If you have a dream of starting a business, growing it to the point at which you can live comfortably and/or retire: this you can absolutely do. You just have to understand the rules of the physical realm, and then be able to use them in order to manifest your dream.

Keep it real – remember to be human!

A byproduct of taking the reigns, stepping up to the plate and deciding to create your dream life; is that you’ll find yourself in a position of leadership. This is all but inevitable. It is extremely unlikely that you will be able to create multiples of millions in value, completely by yourself. You will need help as your business/dream starts to grow.

A huge part of dream creation is being able to communicate your ‘vision’ with others clearly enough, so that they can help make it a reality for you. You have to see working with people as an extension of intention setting. When you ask the universe for something, you have to be extremely clear with your request. It’s the same with the people who work for you: give them unclear guidance and the results will be imprecise.

Remember though that you are human! This is just another part of living in the real world.

You can not be anything else, so act accordingly. Don’t set expectations on yourself, or give other cause to see you as some kind of super-human robot. You’re not infallible and neither is your team.

If you end up beating yourself up over something, castigating others for making mistakes or foster an atmosphere of intolerance: you’ve stepped out of the real world. In doing so, you’ve also moved out of a space that is conducive to dealing with issues as they arise.

I’ve said this time and time again, but the only place that we can create anything from; is now! Anything that takes you out of the present moment, like beating yourself up over past ‘mistakes’ or worrying about the future, simply inhibits your ability to create. It’s a waste of time. Yes; learn from the past and plan for the future – but don’t get stuck there!

At some point you have to start taking action, so keep it real, stay present and act!

Now I know that I talk a lot about inner game. I’m no stranger to the ‘woo woo’. I’m a certified Reality Transurfing practitioner for crying out loud, but the point of all this is that it is there to support taking the right action! This is why I say that action is the most, and least important part. ‘Least’ because without planning, it’s just blind action. ‘Most’ because without action, it’s just planning guaranteed not to yield results.

The thing with the more ‘woo woo’ practices is that they are only efficacious if you believe that they will work. This is not because they’re magic, but because if you believe that they will work – then your actions will follow accordingly. You become the conduit through which they show up in the real world and can be deemed to have worked.

So when I say ‘keep it real’ I don’t mean that more abstract, esoteric practices should be eschewed in favour of nothing but cold, hard logic and facts. I mean that whatever modality, practice, course, system etc… that you wish to engage in, must (at some point) be applicable in the present moment through action. Otherwise, it’s not serving you.

So there we go guys and gals – I hope that this was useful for you and gave you pause to think. How much of what you’re spending your time on internally, is actually serving your journey through action?

That’s not to say that it all has to result in an action, otherwise it’s a complete waste of time. Some inner work will cause you not to take action, where previously you might have. But it’s still having an impact on your present experience, helping you to keep it real and take action that is serving you and your goals.

That’s all for now!
